Typically, the burring you are the unfortunate recipients of is a result
of a plowing action from the router bit.  Conventional routers are not
suited for routing flex material.  Many cutting tool manufactures offer a
single flutted router designed specifically for routing flex material.
Parameters will vary with tool and material suppliers so make inquires to
both your material and tool people to get appropriate operating
parameters.
