Aura,
When wave soldering SOTs, you must have bottom side pads which are
considerably longer than the pads used on the top side of the board, for
reflow soldering.
A very good explanation of this can be found in Klein Wassink's
"Soldering in Electronics".
The proper size of the pads can be found in several of the popular SMT
textbooks, or the IPC land pattern book, or the  land pattern calculator
on the IPC website.
