Adam,
I just got the May issue of "Printed Circuit Design" and there was an
article by Doug Brooks titled "Trace Currents and Temperatures - How
Hard Can We Drive 'Em?". Also, Mr. Brooks' company (UltraCAD) has
created a freeware calculator for determining the relationship between
current, trace configuration, and temperature rise. It is available for
free downloading from www.UltraCAD.com (follow the links to
calculators).
