Dear Mr. Wolfgang

We are a design bureau in India and are interesti\ed in working in this
direction. I have been in this field of PCB design and CAD CAM for the past
25 years. Having worked in all capacities before setting up my own company,
I was responsible in standardising design methodologies and adoptation of
IPC standards in the company.

I also have a software development group which assists me in developing
modules that are required by my CAD CAM team and to write translators /
netlist sorters etc.

I have been playing around this concept of paperless design and have laready
talked to large industries in India to know about there interest. There is
definetely a good scope and it would be feasible if we can think of jointly
working for one. You can bet that in India u can get program development at
half or one third the cost in US.

Knowing RSI from past eight years and having met you in 1994 at your stall
in ANAHEIM -Iforget the show's name, I have alwys found RSI as a source for
bringing many CAD users to understand and to provide a solution for what is
badly needed by them. Especially since EDIF never ever emerged as a perfect
standard for inter platform design transfer's, it is onley RSI translators
that have helped the industry in a large way.

I would also like to examine the feasibility of marketing these products in
India. However, the catch could be at what cost as each dollar gets
multipled by 40 - the exchange rate ?. Predominant CAD systems in India are
Zuken Redac's - VISULA, CADSTAR, Accel technologie's - PCAD, PADS, CADENCE
and Mento Graphics.

Would like to be a part of your effort to build bridges among design
engineers and manufacturing engineers/vendors.

Look forward to a response.

Regards

Murthy S.L.N.
