Steve,

We have 2 Triton IV wash systems. I have set up one external DI system
(anion, cation, mixed bed, carbon) to feed both of the wash machines
initially. Once the wash machine is full then the water is regenerated
internally. When the wash machine is fed with fresh DI water initially the
internal tanks generally last 3 to 4 weeks (depending on production flow),
and the outside tanks last 2 weeks. If I don't feed the wash machine with
fresh DI water initially, then the internal tanks go bad in about a week
(the water in So. Ca. sucks). For me it was worth the extra cost, but maybe
your water isn't as bad as ours.

The only problem we have with our system is foaming. Some of the water
soluble pastes cause foaming. To eliminate the foaming issue we added
additional carbon tanks in the system, and run back wash at the beginning of
every shift.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Kathy Palumbo
