Hello,

a few weeks ago I posted several questions on technet regarding
the reduction of the printed circuit board (PCB) thickness. The
pro's are reduced cost due to material savings and drilling cost
reductions (more PCBs can be stacked during one drill operation).

I would like to thank John Waite and Graham Collins for their
respons.

Although there were no major concerns, someone of our departement
remarked that there were no real indictations of who is using
reduced thickness PCBs for cost reduction.

A good point. Therefor I would welcome any statements of people
who designed reduced thickness PCBs with the intent of cost
reduction (excluding PCMIA cards, which have a standard thickness,
as have e.g. PCI and VME boards).

I am particular interested in the final thicknesses that have
been used (1.2mm, 1mm, ???).

Regards,
