Susan,
As the originator of the request, I'll respond. Yes, SIR testing would be
valuable information. Three boards of the 15 are reserved for such a test.
This first go-around is to look at the chemical extraction methods and
results. In other words, how clean is clean.

The NEXT go-around will look more closely at the effects of the residues, in
other words, how clean is clean enough?

The reason that we did not explicitly include SIR or electromigration
resistance testing in the test program was the issue of time. This study
involves a fairly large number of samples. ROSE, mod-ROSE, and IC can be done
relatively quickly. We also wanted to use actual production boards, rather
than standard test coupons which are designed for SIR. If we can work SIR
into the testing, we will do so.

Any questions are welcome.
