Subject: ASSY: Reliability of big SM discretes 1998.04.202:34 PM

Hello fellow TechNetters!

I am researching concerns about the reliability of big surface mount
discrete components (larger than 1812 capacitors / resistors).

Are there any reliability issues involved in using these ?
Are there manufacturability issues involved in using these ?
We have experience with 0402 up to but not including 1812 discretes.

Any technical references would be appreciated.
Thanks.
