Hi Steve
I checked the IBM patent search page
(http://www.patents.ibm.com/patquery.html) and it tells me that the
patents referenced do not belong to Matsushita /  Panasonic, so barring
evidence to the contrary I have to assume this is a hoax (??).  I've
copied some of the patent content below.
