Dennis,

I know this is different than what most everybody else is suggesting, but
whenever I've needed a means to manually print some boards, I've gone to this
company called The Ernst W. Dorn Company. They're into printing supplies and
equipment mainly for silkscreening type work...ya' know, T-shirts and stuff
like that. But that industry has a lot in common with us guys in electronics
when it comes to printing.

They carry a very inexpensive manual printing table that has a precise
hinge that the stencil is mounted to (by the way, you can use ANY sized frame
you want to...), and a nice thick plexiglass plate where the PCB will be
located that has adjustment screws in the X and Y axis to adjust the
registration of the PCB to the stencil. You use double-sided sticky tape with
Carlson contact pins to locate the board beneath the stencil. It also has the
capability to adjust for snap-off (although if you're printing with a stencil
I don't why you would want snap-off).

I've bought two of the tables for different companies that I've worked
for...everybody needs a simple manual printing table at one time or another to
do the "one'sies" and "two'sies" that seem to pop-up every now and again...ya'
know, prototypes...

The table is called a Palomar Printing Table with Micro-adjust. The last
time I bought one, it was only around $1,500. Ernst W. Dorn also sells
squeegee material in a variety of shapes and durometers as well as sqeegee's
that are mounted in wooden handles for manual printing, you buy it by the
inch.

They also carry a few other things that us guys in electronics find
useful, cheaper than you would find at someplace like Marshalls or Com-Kyl.
Like Peak Measuring Microscopes with reticles in the optics so you can measure
pad dimensions on PCB's, or stencil aperture dimensions (just to keep your
stencil vendor honest...hehehe).

They have a WEB site, it's: www.ewdorn.com I've pasted the phone
numbers to their offices at the end of this post...

                                                                             H
ope this'll help ya' out!!
