Some yes, some no. At this moment, I prefer to produce data with 8.3
names, because I often do not know, which of his CAM stations my
vendor plans to use for my PWBs - his old DOS ECAM workstation or the
big new Windows NT machine running the latest CAM350 or sth. else.
It can happen, too, that your wonderful "MainBoard Rev. A Top
Layer.gbx" gets truncated during any file transfer to "mainbo~1".gbx
and then nobody knows what this file is. The disadvantage is, it is
sometimes a bit difficult to find really clear names for the lots of
files.
