We are considering using Alloy 42 for an application which must
qualify under 85C/85% RH for 1000 hrs. We will be bonding to this
material using adhesives. What are the concerns around corrosion? I am
told plating with nickel, tin or gold are typical. What are concerns
around bondability? Cost is also an issue. Are there other surface
treatments for A42 besides plating?
