Mike,
You might want to try a company called Echo Supply out here in Milpitas,
California (408) 945-0325. They carry a TON of different tapes, they're
inexpensive, and they'll slit the tape to whatever width you want. I found
them when I was looking for some double-sided sticky tape that I use when
doing pick and place machine demo's.
The tape I bought from them worked great and was selling for $10.00 a
roll CHEAPER than what I paid to 3M for their tape, which was $26.00 a roll
for 2" wide tape! The tape I got from Echo was only $16.00 a roll. I'm sure
Echo supply will have some heat resistant tape that will fit the bill and not
cost ya' an arm and a leg...
