The only other thing I can come up with???

If you still need to be using armor piercing rounds in an electronic
assy,
The only thing I could suggest is not part of the pcb fabrication
process but in the assembly process. Solder onto the contact pad a much
thicker square of a conductive metal chrome plated something, stainless,
etc.
