THIS IS A SUBJECT WHICH REALLY CHAFFS MY **## .  WHAT GETS ME IS WHY WE (COLLECTIVELY) KEEP PAYING OUTRAGOUS MAINTENANCE FEES FOR SOFTWARE WHICH REQUIRES WORKAROUNDS.  UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE SEEN THIS FOR MANY YEARS.  THE ONLY THING THAT CHANGES ARE THE BRAND NAMES.  I'M SURE MANY OF US "GRUNTS" IN THE TRENCHES COULD TELL HORROR STORIES RELATED TO OUR DESIGN TOOLS.  THANKS, I FEEL BETTER NOW.

The overtime pays well though doesn't it ?   A lot of it depends on
the software you use, and the most frustrating part is most of the
time the PCB Designer does not get to choose their favorite software.

You aren't the only frustrated Mentor Graphics user, my opinion, or
should I say my pain ;).
