I heard that black oxide "piles up" around the drilling nailhead, and is
the one reason why nailheading creates a reliability problem.
Therefore, brown oxide was invented--smaller drifts of oxide.
However, I was just told that, by a consultant. I really don't know, I
just make the holes.
