I would prefer a BGA solution, too. The reason why this MCM should be
equivalent to a QFP208 is, it must for prototyping temporarily
replace a single chip CPU in a QFP which is available end of 1998 at
the earliest. It seems not desirable to change the layout in the
target system after the prototyping phase with a MCM as BGA to a QFP
for volume production. Nevertheless, I will follow the BGA idea.
Perhaps my customer is willing to make two layouts. I do not know
whether he has the capabilities to process BGAs.

P.S.: For companies in Europe, the IPC forums are really a fine
