As is typical, I have too many purposes for sending email, so I try to lump
them together into one blanket message, so please forgive me.

Joanna,
The IPC-D-356 is a netlist format. I have some examples if you would like
them sent to you, please let me know, but I think a much better source for
info would be Router Solutions Inc. They probably make a 3rd party program
that can produce IPC-D-356 netlist from Cadstar.

Now, to everyone,
Does anybody know how to go about getting the edge of the circuit board
plated? I would like a suface mount pad to go to the edge of the board and
wrap-around, at least partially up to the other side. I've seen this on a
circuit board produced in Austria, but only one example, and no supporting
info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

I'm sending this to both TechNet and Designer Council in hopes that
someone out there can answer me.

I just spoke with Andy at Zuken-Redac's help desk and he told me that
Cadstar cannot output an IPC-D-356 report (yet). He said we can
generate something akin to it with the Report Generator function.
All I need is the format of 356 and I can go from there. the problem
is I don't know what the format is. Can someone either point me to a
source (preferably online) or tell me what spec I could get that
defines this? We've recently started requiring our boards to be
electrically tested. Isn't that what 356 does? Sets up a netlist?
(If I'm wrong, be nice and break the news that I've made a bloody
fool of myself again.)

Thanks in advance! :-)
Jo
