Dear Sirs:
With reference to IPC-A-610, rev B, components that dissipate 1 watt or
greater must be mounted 1.5 mm above the board surface. (section 3.2.1,
page 31) Why does IPC-CM-770 rev D state these components must be
mounted only .5 mm from the board surface? (section 5.2.4.2, page 2-3.)
Why the conflict in Standards?
