The IPC offers a number of benchmark surveys as a benefit of membership in IPC.  An
annual Quality Benchmark Survey is conducted for both manufacturers of printed wiring
boards and for electronic manufacturing services companies; an annual Financial
Benchmark Survey is also conducted for the PWB industry.  For all three surveys,
report distribution is limited to survey participants only.

In addition to these surveys, IPC offers 4 major reports that are available free to
survey participants and on a fee basis to all others.  These surveys are as follows:

AMRC96M (Available Now)/AMRC97M (Available end of March 1997)
1996 Market for EMS Providers/Contact Assembly Companies
This comprehensive report analyzes the growth of EMS companies in the US market and
includes information on sources of revenue, analysis of finished products,
automation, surface mount and fine pitch applications and size of orders.  The report
also covers markets served, market trends, the size of the US EMS market and the
total available market.  The 1997 Market Report will be available at the end of this
month.

TMRC96R/TMRC97R
1996 Market for Rigid Printed Wiring Boards
An analysis of US PWB production, including markets served, historical information,
OEM vs. independent production, import/export data and an industry forecast.  The
1997 Market Report will be available by July 1, 1998.

TMRC96F/TMRC97F
1996 Market for Flexible Circuits
This study details flexible circuit production in the US, including type of product
produced, markets served, value added, import/export data, information on line width
and spacing and usage of adhesiveless materials, and an industry forecast.  The 1997
Market Report will be available by July 1, 1998.

TMRC96T/TMRC97T
Technology Trends for Rigid Printed Wiring Boards
This report details density trends, testing, finishes and solder masks, and trends in
surface mounting and fine pitch technology.  The 1997 Market Report will be available
by July 1, 1998
