Tony:

A while back you posted an inquiry for information on learning curves. It
didn't seem like you got many responses from the Technet. At any rate, I've
been using a couple of programs that are written in Basic that do
calculations on both the Unit Curve Theory and the Cumulative Unit theory. I
use then both extensively when doing estimating business proposals.

Both programs require that you have a program like Quick Basic (Q-Basic) on
your PC. This program seemed to be part of the standard package when you
bought a PC with Windows in years past. You don't see it on newer PC's with
Win95.

The first part of the program asks about the slope of the learning curve
(85%, 90% etc), the first unit in the lot, the last unit in the lot, and the
average unit value. After this, you enter in the first and last units for
which you need to calculate the value of the item.

I can explain more if this is the kind of info that you are looking for. I
can download the programs to you as text files then you can import them into
QBasic.

I tried to send you a response via your e-mail, [log in to unmask] but I
kept getting rejected. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you.
