Fred,

I am not clear from your message and I don't think the importance was
made strong enough in the answers I have seen so far.

EVERYTHING MUST BE GROUNDED / CONDUCTIVE!! One loose cannon so to speak
can do all the harm. The tube, person, bag, table top, pop rivet gun,
rivet supply container, ......you get the picture, all of it must be
addressed for ESD. And don't forget the air. Then, after mounting, don't
forget the device is now part of a PWBA. How is the PWBA handled????
etc., etc., etc.

And speaking from experience, it is such fun to go after, because it can
be so elusive. You can also get REALLY carried away in the protection
arena. However, the product may need it, and eventually you may be able
to back off the ESD activities once you better define each areas'
vulnerability.

It may be worth it to get a specialist in to help you out.

Best of luck to you, and I hope I have helped more than I have scared
you!
