Gee this reminds me of a joke I once heard about a rock band and a movie
.....But seriously the term heavy metals is most commonly utilized in
our Industry to denote metallic contamination in a substance ( Air,
Water, Tissue, Solution) and usually is referring to such metals such as
Lead, Nickel , Chromium,Cadmium,Mercury, etc.
        Scientifically Speaking  could call any element in the periodic
table that are in columns  IIIB,IVB,VB,VIB,VIIB,VIIIB, IB,IIB. Or simply
put  Sc(21) to Zn(30) , Y(39)to  Cd(48) and Hf(72) to Tl(81). The
Lanthanide and Actinide  Series are sometimes referred to as   Rare
Earths, ( another rock band  )
