Since you are just getting started you can avoid making the same
mistake we did. We have three Mydata pick and place machines that use
the part centroid for placement.  Whoever set up the first component
in our component library decided to use pin/pad 1 as an origin. I've
continued that practice. ARGH!  With the changes made in Cadstar
over the years I realize that I could have designated the center of
the part and output a file that could be used my our P&P machines
with a minimum of tweaking.  Do your people a favor and use the
center!  JMHO.
