    You must not have read my post very carefully, I did say that I profiled
the wave...that's where I discovered that the topside temperature at the QFP
locations was up to around 165-175 C. during wave...

    Your comment about our operators "tweeking" the leads back into place at
the end of the line may be how things are done where you work, but what I've
always done at every place I've worked, is instead of leaving the component
placement problems up to the rework operators, I do this novel thing called
"editing the placement program". You see, if you do that, there won't be any
reason to "tweek" the leads...pretty good idea huh?

     One last thing that you were wrong on, 63/37 alloy DOES have a plastic
state...ALL solders do, it's just that alloys such as a 63/37 has such a
narrow one that it's termed "eutectic"...
