Sounds like a cultural shock Mike ;
my two $ worth :
No CC problems experienced on LP mask.
Environmental > Handling of that much open metal , Cu or Pb/Sn , can not
be healthy at all . For the metal especially .
Mf. advantages > The mask contains to a GREAT degree the run of solder (
that is the amount of solder used [qty] AND the definition of joint
shape [qly] . The same apply to heat dissipation , = over the length of
runned tail of molten solder the dissipation is much greater ; the mask
effectively acts as a heat relief in this indirect form , you should
have considerable savings on TIME, = $ again .
That is ; you work with half solder in half time .

Give girls the choice on pilot batch , let the boss ask and check . Sure
he'll be surprised .
Mind you it is quite stylish to ride horse carriages nowadays ; if you
have the money and time , ( QE II ) .

PS
Check the HGlue as well ; as you said , it stick no problem , but also
sounds bit archaic ;
the time it takes ! There are better ways . EFD makes neat and simple
measured dispensers handling 10oz cartridges ,
you'd speed up the process 10x with reasonable compound (Loctite, Dow C,
etc.)

See you Mike paul ; ResMed

NB
You may hear ghosts from past when lateral analysis was unknown ( E. de
Bono can cure some of them );
there is a difference of looking at it , and seeing it .
