Hi Jim,
In our facility, we document defects prior to any rework(touch-up).
This allows us to make adjustments or improvements to our process so we can
eliminate the amount of rework being done to the product. We are also
working on a monitor system at the ends of our auto equipment machines to
provide immediate feedback to the operator. Adjustments are made
immediately, to eliminate any opportunity for the same defect.(everything
gets documented).
Just my two cents worth. Connie Korth, Quality Specialist
