I am a contract assembly house that needs a vendor that can provide
custom tooling used to press fit connectors into various printed circuit
boards. I am searching for a vendor that can work with the electronic
data that my customers provide (CAD data, gerbers, assy drawings, fab
drawings, etc.) and also call upon the various vendors' info (AMP, Berg,
Erni, etc.) to produce top and bottom tooling for various applications.
I have been bring up a few local vendors, but my engineering time is
limited and need a full service vendor that is familiar with the "ins
and outs" of this business.
Turn around time is a key thing. My current vendor takes too long (7
work days for a quote). I need tooling often in 7 days from request (7
- 14 is average).
I would be interested in finding a second or third source for this
tooling. Since I am located in Massachusetts, a New England vendor
would be preferred but I will open this request up as needed.
Thanks in advance for the help.
