The pin 1 origin is used for through hole components,
for the benefit of programming the axial/dip inserters
of that day.
Centriod origin is used for SMDs, for programming that
type of equipment.
Many many companies (and CAD vendors) missed that tran-
sition and continued locating SMDs by pin 1.
