Perhaps superceded isn't the correct word.

IPC-6012 is the industry document that is equal
to 55110 .

The words are anytime there is an equivalent industry
document it may be used instead of govt specs.

So we advise our customers to use 6012 until such time
as an amendment is issued to fix all that is wrong with
55110F (technical and editorial).
