Dear How

The clue is the wave manufacturer does not install the sensors to be
covered , it is not cheap enough to be a cosmetic feature . The sensors
are not designed to "miss" the boards either .
Your technician is right on both accounts .

The excessive dross not being mentioned in the 1) note, on top of
straining pump and residue accumulations on the impeller ( triples your
maintenance in no time )

Therefore your technician by the sound of it knows what he's doing even
if he perhaps does not describe it in detail .
The supervisor IS your problem , you have my sympathy .
