Bob,

This goes back quite a while but from what I remember, the only thing we
found to etch Kapton was using 1,2 n-methyl-perylodone. I'm sure I
screwed up the spelling. Anyway, you had to use heat for it to work. We
used a hotplate to do this for a flex cicuit application about 8 years
ago.
