Richard,
We have a lamination press made by Burkle (model: LAMEV 100). It is a 4 opening press with a closed vacuum chamber.
In general I am pleased with it - in is reliable (except for corrosion problems in the cooling system), has good MMI (through a PC) and easy to operate.
The press gives good results as to temperature uniformity over the hot plates and has special features to use when producing boards smaller then the press platen intself.
The only (rather severe) problem we had encountered is corrosion in the cooling water piping - it hits you usually unprepared and, because the press has a closed vacuum chamber, you have to take it apart (almost) in order to get to the cooling system.
