Paul Formiller did an outstanding job of discussing almost every aspect of ED
vs. RA foil, save one, that I, as a chemical vendor, am powerfully aware of.
RA foil is very much "dirtier" that ED foil, and much much more difficult to
clean, as the lubricants used in the rolling process get nearly "welded" into
place.
That is not to say that it cannot be cleaned well, and we do it, but our rule
is to allow at least twice the cleaning time, or 20 degrees (F) more
temperature, in your cleaning cycle, to get the same results.
