     This is the first time I've heard it called that, but I think I know what
he's referring to. I've had a few brands of solder paste that "relaxes" so to
speak, if it doesn't keep moving it sets up and becomes thicker in viscosity
until it starts moving again. The one formula that I remember that was really
bad about this was one I used from Amtech. (Not knocking Amtech at all, they
make a really good paste in my opinion, this was just one characteristic of
the particular formula I was using...)

      For instance, when we would stop production on a line for lunch break,
and then start the line up after lunch, we would have to take a spatula and
"shear" or work the paste back and forth over the stencil until it came back
to a good viscosity then start printing again. If we didn't do that, the paste
would never roll in front of the squeegee until we printed about 5-10 crappy
prints and then it would be okay. We finally figured out what was
happeneing...but I never heard it called "relaxing".

       Kinda' makes sense though...sorta' waking-up the paste after it's taken
a nap!
