Hi Wayne,
There have been such analyses, in limited detail mind you, in the past. You
definitely need to look at both the IR and convection contributions for both
"IR" and "Forced Convection" reflow ovens. For "IR" ovens, convection
contributions in excess of 50% of the total heat transfer have been shown.
