MEETING OF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER
OF THE IPC DESIGNERS COUNCIL

Date: Tuesday February 10, 1998

Where: Connie's Restaurant in Derby

Time: Meeting 6:00pm (dinner will be served at 6:00pm)

Topic: Product Data Management - Mr. Dieter Zumsande, Agile software, Inc.

The presentation will cover how electronics design and manufacturing has
evolved over the past few decades. In the 70's, it was cost reduction. In the
80's, the buzzword was quality. In the 90's, time to market. What is the new
paradigm, and what are the implications for electronics manufacturers as we
move into the next millenium?

One issue is the increasing popularity of outsourcing part or all of design
and/or manufacturing operations. Once the product data are "published" by
engineering, the challenge is to involve the supply chain with the product
realization process. The applications and tools used to facilitate this new
methodology will be discussed.

Meeting host: Veribest, Inc.

Veribest is a CAD supplier to the design community. Their award winning PCB is
part of a powerful, totally open integrated suite of analysis and design
tools. Veribest addresses high-speed PCB by embracing a "left shift"
philosophy of making analysis tools available to engineers early in the design
process where they have the greatest impact.

You are requested to RSVP Vin Stabile at (203) 968-1403 or [log in to unmask]
