consideration is the wetted metals if any in the process chasmbers. A
single step peroxygen baswed microetch can remove chromate coatings from
the copper as well as micro etch the copper. However, if you desire some
removal of organic residues as well as copper, I would suggest either an
alkaline cleaner followed by the microetch step, or an acid cleaner with
surfactants which will remove some of the organics, and remove any
chromate anti-tarnish.Follwe this with a rinse, then the microetch, if
you have the chambers.
