Simon,
You might try WWW.SMTPLUS.COM and/or
WWW.BARNESANDNOBLE.COM for the manual. I was just
looking through the SMTPlus literature and found also
more references to SMT technologies:

1) Setting up In-House SMT (David Boswell)
2) The Basics of SMT (James Blankenhorn)
3) SMT, design for Testability (James Blankenhorn)

Good luck, but you should be able to find most of these
in any bookstore.
