Drilbert,

We are using Pluritec stack tapng machines. We have had them for a year
and they work great. Down time for the past 12 months has been zero. I
strongly recommend that you use two machines spaced the distance you
want the tape applied to the stack. That way you can reduce the sack
taping time by more than 50%. We also have an automatic stack pinning
machine. That machine is very similar to Pluritec's. We have had that
machine for about 1 1/2 years and its down time is also zero. It, like
the taping machine is manufactured in the Far East. If you want more

We needed some modifications made the stack pinning machine and they
took care of the problem within two weeks. It required special parts
from the manufacturer. With the two machines machines, we are able to
pin and tape 850 stacks per hour working at comfortable pace. The
payback on the two machines was less than 4 months. As long as the
panels, backup material and entry material are cut with a tolerance of
+/- 0.063, it works with no problems. If the materials have a greater
variation in size, the run rate goes down a bit but you can still handle
them.
