Anthony:  the intricacies of the various e-mail systems can be frustrating to all of
us at times.  This is particularly relevant when aliases are sometime used.  Your msg
subject line of "Unsubscribe" suggests to me that you may have missed some
administrative msgs regarding our e-mail forums.  Late last year we made a
significant upgrade to our list server, and the "SUBSCRIBE" and "SIGN OFF" process
changed.  Users no longer "unsubcribe" to get off the list.

You should send a message to: [log in to unmask]
The subject line is ignored, so you can leave it blank or, if your e-mail package
requires something in that line, put the words sign off.
In the body of the message, put the following words AND NOTHING ELSE:
signoff technet

(Don't use the word unsubscribe, it doesn't mean anything anymore.)
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST SEND IT FROM THE SAME E-MAIL SYSTEM/USER NAME/HOST HAME  YOU
RECEIVE THE TECHNET MAIL ON; THAT IS, THE SAME USER/HOST NAME YOU USED WHEN YOU
SUBSCRIBED. If your e-mail system has changed, we will need to know what it was when
you subscribed to go in an manually locate and remove it.

After you send the msg, you should get a response back advising you that you have
been successfully removed.  If you don't get a reply like that, or if you get
something like "user not found" please forward that entire msg back to me and Dmitry
and I will see what we can find.  Hope this works for you.  Jack
