I recall an IPC spec which had the requirements for an elliptical swage. I
don't recall which one, though. We duplicated the requirements and added them
to our internal workmanship requirements. It states that terminals installed
in PTHs shall be elliptically swaged and be tight enough to prevent sideways
movement yet loose enough so it can be rotated by hand. This was for old
designs... we no longer put terminals in PTHs.
