Steve,

I use a $90 CAD program called Drafix QuickCAD to translate from HPGL to an
AutoCAD 12 compatable file format. It also will save to a Windows Metafile
which can be inserted into Word or Excell. There are packages such as Hijack
and Quickview but I have no practical experience with how well they work. The
advantage with QuickCAD is that you can easily edit the data as well as
translate. Hope this helps.
