The CAGE (Contract And Government Entity) code is "a five digit
alph-numeric code applicable to all activities which have produced or
are producing itmes used by the Federal Government. It also applies
to Government activities which control design, or are responsible for
the dvelopment of certain specifications, drawings, or standards
which control the design of items."

In other words, if you aren't producing itmes for the government's
use, you probably don't have or need one. (I KNEW there was a reason
to hang on to those old copies of DOD-STD-100C and 100D!)

Hope this helps.
