Hi Moss - there are multiple sources of phase diagrams for solders. The ASM
Handbook series has a nice set but it is not just confined to solder
alloys. There are also several companies that are now offering phase
diagram compilations on CDROM but to get just solder alloys as a specific
topic it is very costly. Many folks have just built up a "collection" of
solder alloy phase diagrams over time but one source you  might explore is
your closest university. I have had very good luck getting phase diagrams
through  university materials engineering departments on an as need basis.

Hi all,
As Werner was pointing out in respect to the recommended solder
temperatures for soldering  different compositions, does anyone have
Phase diagrams showing the "recommended alloy temperatures during wetting"
available on soft copy for the different alloy compositions.
If this was readily available I think a lot of people would appreciate
adding them to their files, including myself.
