Thioura is moderatly soluble in water (9:100 parts) and soluble in alcohol at
room temp. In  ammonia etchant , thiourea is very very low in concentration
and there should be no problem to rinse off  of final residue... See the
crystaline structur of residue under microscope  for determination of
thiourea or dried etchant..
