Subject: ASSY:BGA Moisture Handling 1997.12.0310:37 AM

Hi TechNetters,

I have some questions about handling of moisture sensitive BGA's (and other
components).

1. Where can I get a low RH (<5% RH) oven for baking BGA's at low temperature
(40'C) ? (Tape and Reel does not appreciate the 125'C bake for 24 hours!)
What method are you using for baking (eqmt, temp., time) ?

2. Are there other methods used to control "repeated" exposures of components
other than a "follower" which travels with the Reel / Trays ?

3. Where can I get a proper sealer for MBBs (moisture barrier bags) ? Is
there a method to verify that the seal is sufficient ?

4. Is there a commercial training package available for handling of moisture
sensitive components ?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
