Hi Jeff,
Thirty-two daisy-chains of eight capacitors in series were used to increase
the number of capacitors on test from 32 to 256 without having to increase the
monitoring capacity, which is expensive.
I would also like to point out, that SM-785 "Guidelines for Accelerated
testing..." is really not a good tool for 'process validation', it has much
more to do with assuring that the design of your assemblies is suited for its
application——'Design For Reliability (DfR).
