Done that!
The SUPERMAX E-CAD layout package has supported DRC compliant plating
thieving since the first version came out 20 years ago.
-Doesn't all the other vendors do that too?
It's a VERY simple algorithm so I can't see why it's seldom implemented
in CAD packages.
And really: These kind of things should not be made in the CAM system
-same goes for most DFM clean ups , since you will have to repeat
the repair in the CAM tool for each modification of the design.
problems are often best solved at the source.

If I where you, I'd buy my tool :-)
.....or put pressure on my vendor to support me with these type of
features....
