nothing new with this, the only thing new would be if you can find any
type agreement between, process, solder and mfging folks.
The residue, in most cases, can be cleared by applying heat, you can
use the standard heat gun, be careful not to linger too long in any
one area to avoid burning, in test that I've be aware of in a former
life, there was never a "reason" nor couldwould anyone accept
responsibility. It would be interesting to know if you find the
answer.
